Radio Sponsorship Boost From Warwick Corporate Events
Warwick Corporate Events, one of the UK’s leading events producers, is supporting Vibraphonic 106.2FM - a community station broadcasting for 28 days from Tuesday 22nd February to 21st March.
The funding, which has been matched by the Government’s Arts and Business Fund, will help towards the running cost of the station, broadcasting from the Media Centre at the Exeter Phoenix. This year, organisers are hoping audiences will top 25,000 listeners after 13,000 people tuned into the station during its run last year. Two of Warwick’s staff will also be taking to the airwaves with their own radio shows, in the hope of encouraging other would-be DJs to come forward and get involved.
Vibraphonic 106.2FM is an integral part of the Vibraphonic Festival which encompasses all types of music and features over 40 events taking place at a variety of popular city venues in the space of two weeks.
One of the highlights of the festival will be Mercury Music prize winner and Band Aid 20 contributor Dizzee Rascal. Two of the UK's most promising new singers, Clare Teal and Gwyneth Herbert, will also be appearing along with saxophonist Andy Sheppard and African trumpeter Claude Deppa.
