CT Germany Arrange Soft-LED Highlight for Ball des Sports 2005

As the responsible partner for media technology, CT Germany provided the LED specials, projections and peripheral equipment for the Ball des Sports 2005. On behalf of agency Kogag, the project was realised by the CT team offering full service including installation, support and dismantling under the technical project management of CT’s Düsseldorf sales office.

The highlight in the stage background was CT’s new product Soft-LED, which was used on this year's event and in Germany for the first time. The dynamic LED curtain, which showed fascinating images and graphics was the ideal solution for the production. The video and graphic content, which had been created specifically for this show, were perfectly portrayed on the sophisticated, high-quality black drapery – the culmination of custom-designed LED grid presentation power and specialized processing technology. The combination of awesome LED effects, easy handling and short term installation made Soft-LED provided a real eye-catcher on the stage.

Soft-LED offers maximum flexibility and diversity, lightweight of material, different resolutions and variable custom-made drapery size. As service provider for rental CT Germany offers Soft-LED in its own rental stock and is the exclusive distributor of Soft-LED for Germany.

The large Soft-LED surface was completed by four MiPIX columns. Their special effects and brightness perfectly matched the scenery. The columns consisted of four MiPIX Roadmodules each, which were about four metres high, with more than 1.900 MiPIX blocks. The video and graphic content for these two LED specials was realized with the new Catalyst PRO v3.3 Media Server – also new in CT’s rental stock.

Three SLM R12+ high-performance projectors from Barco were used for the projection onto three projection screens with an overall size of 180 square metres. The projectors were installed by the CT team in the ceiling of the Festhalle and threw live camera pictures and video contents onto the screens.

In the FIFA lounge, 12 metres of VersaTUBE formed the coloured frame for a stylized soccer goal. Additionally, a Sony JJTron 5.6sq.m LED screen was hung up in the lounge, which was used amongst others for the visual presentation of the next FIFA World Cup Germany 2006. Together with other agency partners, CT presented itself on a large screen in the entrance hall. Five BenQ design LC displays from the CT rental stock were integrated into this screen presenting the individual partners visually and the making of ‘Ball des Sports 2005’.
