EAD Sounds Out China and Hong Kong for Cadac
Cadac Electronics Plc has appointed Eastern Acoustic Development Ltd (EAD) as its new distributor for Hong Kong and China, with effect from 18th March 2005. Headed up by Y K Cheung and K M Szeto, EAD operates from its head office in Hong Kong, with three regional offices across China, and a team of 50 in total. The firm has extensive installation and technical experience encompassing fixed installation, live sound and mobile venues, with prestigious projects including Hong Kong International Airport, the Capital Theatre in Beijing, Hangzhou Theatre, and the Liaoning Art Centre.
EAD's Y K Cheung believes that there is strong potential to build on the existing profile enjoyed by Cadac in the Asia Pacific region, commenting: “Cadac has an excellent track record in China, with many engineers familiar with the high quality and reliability of Cadac's consoles. This knowledge has been generated from a variety of sources - including the number of fixed installations and broadcasters using Cadac, as well as the many popular international musicals that tour in the region. We believe that there is a growing demand in China for high quality audio products, and therefore see a much wider potential audience for Cadac's product portfolio. This is especially the case for the competitively priced compact S-Type console, as well as the new M16 16-channel Remote Controlled Microphone Amplifier and the D16 Digital Mix Matrix. EAD will be actively promoting Cadac as a top quality yet affordable option, encouraging a wider cross-section of users to start enjoying the tangible benefits of Cadac's design and engineering excellence.”
