Leading Guest Speakers Announced for AC Lighting North Seminars
As well as providing the first opportunity in the UK to see prototype or final production models of over 45 new products from leading brands, April’s A.C. Lighting North Tradeshow is notable for the calibre of industry professionals presenting free and unique guest speaker seminars.
The full programme of seminars and times has now been confirmed as follows:
Tuesday 26th April
11.00am: Top Programmer & LD Rob Halliday looks at new Cameron Mackintosh/Disney theatrical co-production of Mary Poppins. Find out the process of bringing all of these elements together to create a hit musical.
12.30pm: Yamaha's UK Marketing Manager, Karl Christmas, explores the world of digital audio consoles and presents the arguments for and against going digital in live, installation and theatre environments.
3.00pm: Top LD Durham Marenghi reflects on his 20 year career of challenging lighting designs. Learn the secrets of how he approaches his designs and the technology he uses to create dynamic lighting effects.
Wednesday 27th April
11am: Vertigo Rigging’s Tim Roberts discusses the complexity of rigging for entertainment and presents a case study of how he created the truss and flying systems for We Will Rock You.
12.30pm: PLASA’s Ron Bonner unravels the new EU Harmonisation regulations, the practical challenges facing the industry in applying the new legislation, and a guide to 'Best Practice' when undertaking new installations.
3.00pm: Top LD Pete Barnes offers an invaluable insight into the new age of digital video and projection, and discusses some of his methods of integration of this media with conventional lighting.
Numbers for the seminars are limited and there has already been a huge number of registrations received.
