Clay Paky Alpha Wash Halo
Clay Paky has introduced the Alpha Wash HALO, a new incandescent wash light with a 1,000 W (3,200 K) halogen lamp. It is ultra-bright, with extremely silent operation, and is specifically designed for use in television and the theatre, but also suitable for many other types of commercial and architectural application.
It is ideal for lighting designers who are looking for the typical properties of the halogen lamp: smooth, uniform field, warm color tones and gradual dimming, say Clay Paky.
Alpha Wash Halo offers a 14°-64° electronic linear zoom and a high luminous efficiency optical unit, whilst the use of a ‘Top Hat, developed specifically for this product, ensures perfect light beam control.
The colour system benefits from a CMY color mixing system, a linear variation frost, an indexable ovalising filter, and a 0-100% electronic dimmer with stop/strobe effect.
Like all the models in the Alpha line, it is characterized by innovative electronics and software. Features include pre-set macros; an ON/OFF lamp control; function reset from the central control unit; a ‘Help’ function in the menu; a ‘Memo’ functionl an ‘Autotest’ function; the possibility of updating the software through the DMX512 input; Ethernet connection; electronic control on each parameter; DMX level monitoring on each channel; feedback information on the state of each sensor and encoder and electronic repositioning of the effects.
There is also an internal self-charging buffer battery which allows the complete set-up of the spotlight even when this has no power supply, enabling the operator to set directions and options with the product uninstalled or still in its flight case.
