New Alto Mixers Arrive in UK
Proel reports that the latest generation of Alto mixers, the AMX series, has just arrived in the UK, offering outstanding features and performance at very affordable prices.
Key models in the AMX range are the AMX 220, the AMX 220FX and the exceptionally neat Ghibli 16 and Ghibli 16FX.
Alto's AMX 220 offers 22 channels in a 2+2 Bus format. Users get eight mono inputs with gold plated XLR and balanced TRS jacks, four stereo inputs with balanced TRS jacks plus low-cut filtering, precision 16mm faders, phantom powering, three band EQ with sweepable mid on the mono inputs, four band fixed EQ on the stereo inputs.
Add an impressive 24-bit DSP to the AMX 220 and you get the AMX 220FX, which in addition to the features of the 220 delivers 256 effects including reverb, chorus, flanging plus features like DSP mute and Peak LEDs.
The two Ghibli models are half-rack designs for situations where space is tight but high specifications and facilities are still demanded. A 16 input console, the Ghibli 16 boasts high quality mic pre-amps with dynamic processor and tube emulator on all mic channels. Unusually, the Ghibli features 3-channel surround sound and comes with balanced outputs. As with the AMX 220, add a comprehensive digital effects processor and you get the same 24-bit performance with a similar range of effects and features.
