Lightfactor Sales at ABTT
Lightfactor Sales will be showing a variety of its core theatre and performance orientated products available from Italian manufacturers SGM and LDR, LightProcessor and Wireless Solutions at the forthcoming ABTT Theatre Show in London.
Palco from SGM is an LED colour-changer for indoor and outdoor use (IP65 rated) utilising new technology, and featuring stylish design to help blend harmoniously into surrounding environments. The fixture uses of a series of high-power Luxeon LEDs with RGB colour mixing - five blues, 20 greens and 24 reds.
Ribalta from SGM is similar to the Palco but is more in keeping with a batten. It is IP-rated LED cyc unit in 4ft length. ideal for illuminating walls and cycloramas and anywhere a uniform even wash is required. Ribaltas are available with a selection of different lenses.
SGM’s Giotto Spot 400 CYM is a new moving head projector for use in high-profile entertainment applications - concerts, theatres and television studios. Giotto Spot 400 CMY offers the most advanced features in its class, including 400W hot re-strike MSR lamp, 9°-27° motorized zoom, advanced CMY colour generation system plus one colour wheel with six colours and white, two rotating indexable gobo wheels and one animation wheel, linear iris, full variable frost, variable CTO filter, a rotating prism, electronic ballast, absolute silent operation and cooling.
Giotto Spot 400 CMY is fitted with a 400W discharge lamp. The electronic ballast (90-245V / 50/60Hz) ensures bright flicker-free light. The motorized 9°- 27° zoom gives beam angles otherwise only obtainable with more expensive fixtures.
Other products in the Giotto range now includes a Spot, a Profile with framing shutters and a Wash with zoom.
Italian theatrical lighting manufacturer LDR will launch several new products at the show including its Xpress Scrollers. This is a new line of DMX colour scrollers from LDR, including he Xpress 12CE featuring very accurate gel string positioning and silent operation, with 16- colour gel roll, 160 x 160mm rear mounting plate and steel safety bond (an accessory rear mounting plate is available to fit Tempo f/pc plus, Suono f/pc plus, Suono f250 MSD luminaires and all luminaires featuring a 150x150mm colour frame). The Xpress 18CE features accurate gel string positioning and silent operation, 16-colour gel roll, 253 x 253mm rear mounting plate and steel safety bond. An accessory rear mounting plate is available to fit Aria f/pc plus, Nota f/pc plus and all luminaires featuring a 85x185mm colour frame). The Xpress 25CE also features excellent gel string positioning and silent operation and an 11-colour gel roll, 313 x 313 mm rear mounting plate and steel safety bond. Like the other Xpress products, an accessory rear mounting plate is available to fit Tono f/pc plus and all luminaires featuring a 245 x 245 mm colour frame.
Other products on show from LDR include the Canto Follow Spot range including the Canto 250, now with inbuilt dimmer, and LDR’s extensive range of theatrical luminaries including PCs, fresnels and profiles.
Lightfactor is showing products from LightProcessor’s two architectural digital dimming ranges – Dimension and Paradim.
The new LightProcessor Dimension 1210 wall mounted dimmer is a single or three phase device, with MCB breakers on each circuit, user-replaceable triacs plus many other features. Keenly priced, it’s available as DMX or DMX with onboard memory complimanting it bigger brother the 1810. Both product can be fitted with RCD on the input of required.
The new Lightprocessor Dimension 3000 19” rack mounted dimmer will be seen at the ABTT show for the first time. This features 12 x 10 amp of dimming, changeable dimming laws, individuly address DMX channels for each channel of the dimmer for patching, single or three phase device, with MCB breakers on each circuit, user-replaceable triacs plus many other features normally associated with higher priced units.
Paradim installation dimmers or the 19” touring range are a low-cost, 6-scene, 6 channel dimmer, available in 6 x 10A, 6 x 16A or 6 x 20A formats. They can be hard wired or rack mounted, single or three phase and encompass fire alarm settings & onboard scene memory. They are available as Patch Packs with Socapex on the front, 15 amp UK, Cee17. Scenes stored in the dimmer can be recalled by any of the LightProcessor series of Scene Recall Button Stations, either with LED indicators, faders or simple buttons.
All the LightProcessor ranges allow the dimming or switching of any circuit - a neat solution switching fluorescents, cleaner lights, etc. with the same dimmer unit. Both Paradim and Dimension can be used in conjunction with one another. Touring versions of both Paradim and Dimension will also be highlighted on the stand.
LightProcessor’s range of Zip desks will be shown. These desks offer 6, 12 or 18 channels of memory, and the equivalent number of analogue channels. All units have 6 independent chases.
W-DMX from Wireless Solutions is an award winning wireless DMX transceiver system broadly based on GSM (mobile phone) technology. The wireless side works in the 2.45GHz radio band alongside Bluetooth and similar IEEE 802.11 (W-LAN) compliant products. The products are all DMX512A and RDM ready, and the firmware can also be updated using a separate data channel, which is also used for system set up. Up to 8192 receivers can be controlled form one system, and there are four differing types of transmitter - the differences being primarily in the quantity of DMX universes that can be controlled: from 1 to 16 universes (8192 channels) of DMX can be deployed.
