Vieta Pro Appoints KV2 Audio Europe to Handle UK Distribution
Vieta Pro, the Barcelona-based manufacturer of professional sound reinforcement products, has announced the appointment of an exclusive distributor in the UK. Francisco Márquez, the president of Vieta, and Nacho Alberdi, managing director of Vieta Pro, were at the ProLight+Sound expo in Frankfurt to confirm the new deal with Jonathan Reece-Farren and Andy Austin-Brown of KV2 Audio Europe Ltd.
Vieta is one of Spain's most established and well-respected audio equipment manufacturers, with a leading share in consumer audio, in-car audio and home electronics in its home market. In 2004, the company entered the pro-audio sector for the first time, with the launch of four fully developed and ntegrated Series of loudspeakers, ranging from ceiling speakers to 15" 2-way enclosures, plastic as well as plywood cabinets, a full selection of sub-bass units and Vieta's proprietary processor technology.
Vieta Pro represents "the perfect fit" for its new distribution partner, KV2 Audio Europe. Jonathan Reece-Farren, KV2's director of business development, calls it a "handshake between our respective portfolios. We complement each other extremely well in product terms, filling in obvious gaps in each other's catalogues. Equally importantly, the two companies share each other's philosophy on product values, such as audio quality and aesthetics."
Vieta Pro's MD Nacho Alberdi is pleased to have forged a new relationship with a well-respected operation in the UK, especially one with strong connections to the installation sector. "The British market is very influential, but we didn't want to rush into it; we've been trying hard to find representation that would understand us and our design-and-build culture."
