Virtual Cook Came into Reality with Trigger
With four days notice COOK turned to Trigger Concepts to design and install an inventive audio and visual solution for their exhibition stand and hospitality suite at Imperial College, creating a virtual representative to man their stand.
With a collection of the most up to date technology, including usage of a holographic screen, and two of the world’s largest plasma screens, with a viewing size of 84” a piece, sourced from trade AV rental specialist PSCo, virtual Cook led the way in exhibition technology.
The ‘Charing Cross International Symposium 2005’ was held at the Imperial College, London, with companies showcasing the latest in medical equipment. From the holographic screen, Cook was able to interact with guests in the exhibition on the ground floor, providing product information and inviting visitors to join them, from their hospitality suite on the fifth floor.
The holographic representative attracted a great deal of interest from exhibition visitors allowing Cook to make an impact in a simple yet individual way.
Trigger Concepts installed 1500m of CAT 5 cabling from the exhibition stand through five floors, delivering two-way audio, video and PC interaction. The system included two broadcast cameras to enable the representative’s image to be displayed as a holographic image, while also allowing them to see the person to whom they were speaking. Two-way audio allowed communication between them and the two 84” plasmas allowed Cook’s latest products to be displayed so the representative could take visitors through it.
Chris Walton, managing director of Trigger Concepts Ltd explained: “We worked with the client and PSCo to deliver an innovative AV solution, making it user friendly so they enjoyed interacting with it, creating a buzz within the team. The holo screen was used to deliver real time interaction between the Cook and their prospective customers, using the technology to reflect the innovative and creative nature of the company.
