ABTT Launch for Cambridge Media Group
Founding members of the group are Entertainment Technology Press Ltd (ETP), publishers of the etnow.com news websites, the magazine Entertainment Technology, the ABTT’s Sightline and numerous industry book titles and Realnet Ltd, the Internet solution specialists who offer design and internet marketing services alongside an expertise in search engine visibility. The members of the group share high level website and publishing expertise along with the extensively developed in-house technology that provides the necessary support.
Acquired in April, Liverpool Academic Press and associated imprints Liverpool Business Publishing and Tudor Educational has seen the addition of 45 established titles to the fast-growing CMG book list which already has 34 published works in the Entertainment Technology Press series. Editorial director John Offord said: “We expect both lists to grow, particularly with new links we are establishing with our contacts within Cambridge University.”
Joining CMG in June 2005 is entertainment technology industry recruitment consultants Taylor Phillips. Established in 1999, its founder Julie Kirby will continue with the company and play a key role as the operation is expanded with a growing team based in Cambridge.
Further development projects are in the pipeline. CMG managing director Ken Sewell said: “This is an exciting time for all concerned. There is a great deal of expertise within the group and this strength is coupled with our experience in marketing via the internet and the ability to apply the latest design and operational techniques. The recent addition of Liverpool Academic Press and Taylor-Phillips to the group provides an indication of our forward-looking policy of development.”
