PSL Invest in World’s First LCD Hi-Def Projector

“This is the first LCD HD product to the market anywhere in the world, and PSL will be one of only two hire companies in the UK to have it in their fleet,” declared Sanyo’s Crispin Piney. “We understand that PSL see this is as opening up a huge range of opportunities — the cost benefits over triple-chip DLP are enormous.”
PSL MD Gary Davis, responded: “We have been considering this move for a while and it’s the first of a number of similar projectors we anticipate purchasing. Owning our own HD10 enables us to fill another niche in the marketplace.”
He added: “Many of our customers are already requesting hi-def for the production of their shows, and the PLV-HD10 provides double the resolution of a conventional projector. Next year we believe this technology will really come of age in the lower end of the projector market.”
Weighing just 81lbs, the PLV-HD10 combines many technologies to produce the world's first true 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, three-panel LCD high definition projector. Features include: 16 x 9 aspect ratio; 1000:1 contrast ratio; Unique four-lamp system; motorised zoom and focus; motorised lens shift (U/D/L/R); electronic vertical keystone correction; new 20-bit progressive scan system and 12-bit colour processing allowing 68 billion colours; HD & SD SDI inputs; eight optional lenses and optional network board.
