Showsec with U2 Across the UK

Showsec with U2 Across the UK

Bono is not only a master pop-politician, but a master of connecting with the vast stadium audiences that U2 attract. Emotions were bound to be highly charged, but were always good natured during the shows; so there were no atomic bombs to dismantle for the UK's leading crowd management company Showsec, who worked on all of the bands mainland UK dates.

Sweeping across Europe with their 'Vertigo 05' tour, Showsec staff have ensured the safety and enjoyment of over half a million UK fans at sell out shows in the City of Manchester Stadium, London's Twickenham Stadium, Glasgow's Hampden Park and Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Showsec regional manager Mark Logan oversaw the whole tour and commented: "Every element of this tour was thoroughly professional and it's been a joy a work with the best in their field in every area, from the promoters, band and tour management, the venues and technical suppliers. Managing discerning audiences of this size requires careful planning and implementation and I've been proud of the way all our teams across the UK from the different regional Showsec offices have responded."

Showsec has been commissioned to look after backstage with 400 staff at live Live 8 audience in London's Hyde Park, when U2 are expected to be one of the day's highlights in concert set to change the course of World history.
