Exporting to China: Coemar Go Against the Trend
Trade between Italy and China is a hot topic these days: many people see an economy that is expanding world-wide at an unimaginable rate and as a real threat to western markets. Others see it as an opportunity, especially in terms of exports. This is the case at Coemar, a company which is going totally against current trends, both in general terms and in the projector market in particular.
Products manufactured entirely in Italy, such as the Flex and iSpot 1200 ranges, have opened the door to the Chinese market for the Castelgoffredo firm, which has succeeded – in cooperation with an extremely experienced, dynamic and enterprising local distributor – in coming up with the right mix of innovative technology, manufacturing quality, reliability and market positioning to compete on the Chinese market.
Equipment has been installed in prestigious international level venues such as the Beijing Calm Expo (where the Flex range achieved great success), the Quian Shou Guan Yin in Guangzhou (equipment used includes Super Cyc 2.4, iSpot Flex, iSpot 575 EB; lighting designer/operator Wang Hua; lighting contractor Hang Zhou Grand Theater), and the Guangzhou Festival of Culture (equipment used iSpot 1200 e iProfile Flex; lighting designer/operator Liu Feng Shu; lighting contractor Guangzhou Singing and Dancing Theatre). Virtually unknown to the western public at large, these are a major showcase for an audience of 1.3 billion Chinese.
