OneBigStar to Help Clients Shine
A company offering turnkey solutions for the event, leisure, exhibition and retail markets is now on the scene, boasting that it holds no equipment, has no warehouse and no trucks! OneBigStar is a production and management company which promises to deliver exactly the right skills for any particular event while ensuring clients' money is spent wisely and economically.
Set up by Simon Taylor and Steve Yeardsley, both formerly with LiteStructures, OneBigStar was created to pull together all the disciplines involved in event marketing and management, but without the overheads of storing equipment that will not necessarily be used for another two or three projects.
Simon Taylor said: "When you take into account the time scales and budgets of modern productions, no single company can currently deliver the entire solution. It's our intent to bring together those suppliers which are right for any one particular job. We will have no favourites, just companies on which we can rely to deliver the goods."
Simon and Steve have years of experience of the entertainment and events market and this, combined with excellent management and communication skills plus an awareness of today's business culture, gives them a unique insight into the needs of their clients. Specialising in design, build and management, OneBigStar combines the full project organisation expertise of the two founders, together with one of the biggest contact books in the country!
Having been a project manager at LiteStructures for two and a half years, Steve Yeardsley is a strong believer in the products he has worked with for so long and will continue to specify LiteStructures products and services wherever appropriate. "Even at LiteStructures we were not just suppliers but also customers on occasions and we felt it was about time someone came along with the right knowledge and professionalism to support business users," he says. "We have all the contacts to bring in the right freelance specialists for each job, enabling us to pass on the economies of low overheads."
Services offered by OneBigStar include the design, specifying and installation of staging, sets, lighting, power, vision and sound for anything from private parties to conferences and exhibitions, festivals, venues and live shows. They will handle the planning, set up and management of the event from start to finish if required, as well as all the PR and marketing.
Simon and Steve have worked at most of the major venues in the UK, including the Birmingham NEC, and London's Olympia and Earl's Court, and with artistes such as Jools Holland, Blue and Status Quo.
