Queen, R.E.M. in Hyde Park
Queen and R.E.M. (supported by Feeder), finally made it on stage in central London for concerts rescheduled as a consequence of the London bombings.
For the back-to-back shows, Britannia Row provided an Electro-Voice X-Line system almost identical to that used earlier this month for Live8. With 11x Xvls and three Xvlt cabinets in each of the main left/right hangs, and 32 X-Line subs, the system was powered by E-V's Precision Series P3000RL amplifiers, using IRIS system management software. Side hangs were comprised of Xvls cabinet, and 12x 1152s were used for infill at the front and side of the stage.
This was the final appearance for R.E.M. in their UK tour of outdoor shows, which have all used the E-V X-Line system from Brit Row.
