Tryka Lights up a French Water Flower

Bertrand Chiron - the leading lighting designer who recently purchased Pierre Bideau SA from the lighting designer of the same name, who was responsible for the latest illumination of the Eiffel Tower - was appointed to design a solution for the illumination of the exterior of the Fleur d’Eau (Water Flower), a 6334m² shopping centre in the historic town of Angers in France.
After several comparative tests Tryka L.E.D. Strips were chosen for this project thanks to the precise diffusion angle of their optic lenses, essential for this installation as the Strips had to uplight a defined area of the roof without overspilling onto other parts of the building. A total of 39 Strip Modules IP67 with 25º optics were selected for the purpose, with a further six Strip Modules IP67 with oval optics used to illuminate the tall sliding doors, which welcome an estimated 100,000 shoppers a week. 45 Modulation Drivers to power and drive the units complete the installation.
Griven France – Tryka’s French distributors – worked closely with installers Juret to ensure that the end result matched Bertrand Chiron’s wishes perfectly.
Bruno Souchaud – Griven France’s managing director – enthused: “The carefully programmed colour chase highlights the top of the building perfectly, which has already become a landmark for Angers’ inhabitants and tourists alike.”
