VME Appoint Jon Sugden Business Manager
Knutsford based VME have appointed Jon Sugden as its business manager.
Jon was previously employed at Wigwam Acoustics where he headed the sales, service and installation departments. Prior to Wigwam he had set up the hugely successful audio department at Gearhouse Broadcast where he was responsible for the audio requirements on shows such as I’m a Celebrity Australia, Parkinson at the BBC, and Test The Nation at Fountain Studios.
Jon’s new role at VME will see him working closely with the existing directors, Dion and Andre Davie to grow the business and develop the increasing Kling and Freitag speaker distribution within the UK audio market.
VME have been growing rapidly over the last seven years and have lucrative contracts with SKY Sports rugby and Heineken cup coverage and BBC s TOP GEAR programme.
Dion Davie of VME says: “Jon will play a key role in moving the company forward within the UK; his experience within the broadcast and live section of the industry is priceless. We have recently moved into larger premises and our new business plan will see us outgrow the new warehouse within the next three years.”
VME have recently appointed a new distributor for its Kling and Freitag speaker systems.
Co-director Andre Davie said: “We now have the infrastructure to move the company forward in a colossal way at a time when other companies are making redundancies and down sizing. The industry will soon realise that we are now a major player.”
