Digidesign Venue Training for Sound Engineers
One of the features of Digidesign’s presentation at this year’s PLASA Show will be the opportunity for sound engineers to apprise themselves of the huge operational functionality of the latest state-of-the-art digital live mixing environment, the Venue.
Whether or not engineers are familiar with Digidesign’s industry-standard ProTools workstation and plug-ins (which the Venue supports) the company is throwing down the invitiation to pre-register on one of the back-to-back training courses.
"We will be operating intensive training sessions throughout the show,” said Mike Case, Digidesign’s European sales manager. “But spaces are limited and we will be filling places strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.”
Away from the training room Digidesign will be welcoming their top grade sound engineers, who have helped the company towards an outstanding first year in the front line of concert touring. Already using the desk are leading FOH men such as Jim Warren, Huw Richards, Pab Boothroyd, Robb Allen, Matt Manasse and others.
“We are delighted with the calibre of the early adopters of this desk,” continued Case. “Aside from the Montreux Jazz Festival — where it spent a 16-day residency in the Miles Davis Hall — the VENUE mixed Paris headline band The Cure during Live8 and has been out with a wide span of touring artistes, ranging from Rufus Wainwright to Nine Inch Nails.”
