grandMA video and grandMA 5.60 Software Plus New Rainbows

MA Lighting has released new software - version 5.60 - for grandMA multimedia consoles and this is available now for free download from MA´s website. At the same time they are offering another useful tool: grandMA video, the only fully network integrated (MA-Net) and software based mediaserver.

Many new and innovative features were added to the new software, version 5.60. In conjunction with additional tools such as grandMA 3D, grandMA onPC and grandMA remote the grandMA console becomes a much more powerful multimedia control tool. Users from all around the world contributed to the new software ensuring these improvements.

grandMA video is a software based media server that runs on any commercially available PC. With the same graphic user interface and command structures familiar to grandMA operators, programming, image and video manipulation can easily be done in the same manner as programming a moving light on the grandMA console.

Created as a powerful tool for lighting designers and programmers, grandMA video is fully integrated into the MA-Net network protocol instead of being triggered via DMX512 - an outstanding feature of only grandMA video. Fully bi-directional communication between grandMA consoles and grandMA video is possible.

And there is now the New Rainbow – classic colour changers with and advanced electronic system. With the new system Rainbow units will be able to increase their performance, and provide four major advantages. A special-colour-mode avoids the burning out of filters with a low transmission value. Lower voltage tolerance and over-voltage protection provides for the highest operational safety even with long cable distances, addressing without PSU connection via a special adapter. Extensive parameter possibilities provide adjustment of different operational modes via control channel, easy to recall from the console. Older model Rainbow PRO Colour Changers can be converted easily to the new electronics.
