Loundness Live Up to their Name at Earthshaker Metal Festival with A-T Mics
Japanese metalheads and Audio-Technica endorsees, Loudness, performed at this year’s Earthshaker festival in Geiselwind, Germany, with the support of Audio-Technica Europe’s German office, who ensured that the band were fully equipped with their regular A-T kit, as well providing on-site support.
The band who are long standing A-T endorsees, formed in 1981 and have been a regular feature on the world metal scene since the mid-eighties, regularly touring, including Europe and the States, and performing at the major international festivals. In 25 years, the band have recorded some 24 studio albums, and five live albums.
At this year’s Earthshaker they appeared on the bill, alongside the likes of ManOWar, Dimmu Borgir, Rhapsody, Grave, Digger and Nightwish. The backline was miked with AT4050 large diaphragm condensers on guitar cabs and overheads, AT4041 small diaphragm condensers on crash and splash cymbals, hi-hats and snare, ATM35 condenser clip-on mics on toms. Backing vocal and lead vocal mics were all Artist Elite® AE4100 high performance cardioid dynamic handhelds, chosen for their rugged construction, superior tonality, high feedback rejection and powerful signal handling qualities.
Loudness are planning a full European tour at the end of the year.
