STLD and Lighting Logic Organise Moving Light Shootout

Do you go to exhibitions to find out about the latest developments in Moving Lights and find it hard to imagine what the different models can do side by side? Well the Society of Television Lighting Directors and Lighting Logic Ltd are holding a Moving Lights “Shootout” at Studio 5, Maidstone Studios on Wednesday 24th August to help you find out.

There will be presentations by eight manufacturers on the features of their latest moving lights so that they can all be compared in identical conditions, both by eye and on camera. The event kicks off at 1.30pm with presentations by PRG, Martin Professional, i-Vision, White Light, Robe, Lighting Effects Distribution, Lightfactor and High End systems.

Products presented will include: Robe 1200AT, 575AT, 250AT, 170AT and Digispot; Coemar I-Spot 1200, I-Spot 150 and Easy Colour LED moving head; Martin MAC 250 Wash, MAC 250 Entour, MAC 550 and MAC 700; Vari*Lite VL3500 and 2500; ETC Revolution; Strand Pirouette. There will also be the latest selections from the SGM, High End and GLP ranges, as well as DHA Digital Light Curtain.

Attendance at the free event is by invitation only but is open to anyone involved in TV, theatre, events or education looking for detailed knowledge of the current moving lights products. Users, designers, electricians, consultants and students are all welcome. As well as the presentations there will be opportunities for hands on examination of the products. There will also be a number of other manufacturers showing their current key products and a range of the latest LED fixtures.
