Great Festival Views from Rainbow 20
MP Event Trailers provided their Rainbow 20 trailer to host hospitality for Liverpool 08 at three of the city’s most prestigious events.
In 2008 Liverpool will take up the crown of ‘European Capital of Culture’, and in preparation the city’s events programme is growing year on year. At three of the city’s most prestigious events this summer, MP Event Trailers installed a Rainbow 20 trailer, to act as a hospitality centre and viewing platform for the Liverpool 08 sponsors and supporters.
The final event of the series was Mathew Street Festival, a celebration of where it all began for the Beatles which has become an annual event which attracts thousands of visitors to the city. Now in its 13th year, the festival drew a huge home crowd to watch over 150 Beatles tributes and other top bands including Brit award winners McFly perform on stages throughout the city centre. Rainbow 20 was installed at the event, in a prime viewing position for the sponsors and organising team to watch the action on the main Pier Head stage.
The MP team installed and managed the trailer on behalf of Liverpool 08. Jason Harborow, chief operating officer for the Liverpool Culture Company explained: “We brought in MP Event Trailers to provide us with a special kind of trailer which could be decorated with both our own and our sponsor’s branding. The resulting effect looked superb and set the standard for the quality events we will be staging in Liverpool in both 2008 and the years leading up to it.”
Sister company ROKA UK also branded a kitchen and bar area which was used to provide sponsors with refreshments throughout the events.
Rainbow 20 also featured at two other events, providing hospitality for Liverpool 08. The Honda Formula 4-Stroke series, took to the waters of the Mersey on the 20th and 21st August with thousands of spectators flocking to the banks of the Mersey to witness the powerboat races, with sponsors watching the action from the roof of Rainbow 20. Earlier in the summer, the trailer had also been installed at a perfect vantage point for the UK's biggest maritime festival, the Mersey River Festival.
Rainbow 20 will be open for viewings at the Showman’s Show 2005.
