HSL Rigging’s Totem Tower 2T-V Probably Best Erection in the World
HSL’s Rigging team has designed a new strong and highly versatile tower capable of lifting loads up to 2 tonnes, complete with an incredibly small and neat footprint.
The limits of the Totem Tower 2T-V are endless. Developed with very speedy build times in mind, it is ideal for city centres, green field sites and any other location.
The Totem Tower 2T-V statistics provide a mast height of 13 metres to fly point, a base size of 4.5 x 4.2 metres, a maximum payload of 2000 kg, maximum wind speed of 44 mph or 20 m/s, ballast of 2400 kg, a build time of 2hrs 30mins, a build crew of one HSL rigger plus local crew of four for four hours, a de-rig time of 1hr 30mins, one Telehandler for one hour on the in and out - subject to site inspection!
HSL Rigging can supply directly to the production or site manager a full health and safety policy and structural report, although complex or non-standard structural reports are charged extra.
Once the tower is erect and the load is hung HSL will sign off the installation and present a hand over document to the production manager. However, they require an HSL rigger to be on site for them to sign them off and to take full responsibility.
The 2T-V tower is suitable for hanging all types of PA either from a one- or two-point pick up. Video screens can be hung on a single point using spreader truss (HSL rigger required). It is also suitable for lighting equipment to be hung off the mast – but weight and distribution is dependent on the main payload weight.
