More Training for Tomorrow’s Technicians
Stage Electrics is continuing their popular series of training courses with more scheduled in London in October and November.
In October, the popular Electricity at Work – The Entertainment Industry course is being held at the company’s Long Lane branch in SE1. This course takes a unique look at the history, physics and mechanics of how electricity reaches venues, how electricity is used and the various ways electrical safety can be ensured.
Basic Health and Safety – The Entertainment Industry and Ladders and Working at Height courses are being held at the Bridewell Theatre at St Brides Institute in Fleet Street in November. Mike Palmer from the Institute says: “Housed within the Institute’s impressive period building, the Bridewell Theatre is truly unique. Built on top of a disused Victorian swimming pool, the theatre expands into a remarkably large and intriguing performance area complete with balcony, trap doors and secret passages. The theatre auditorium is a highly flexible space and, as well as hosting a range of theatrical entertainment, is also used as a conference & events venue. Being multi-purpose makes it an ideal venue to hold this Health and Safety training course.”
The courses are highly relevant to the entertainment industry and include many activities such as practical work, group discussions and assessment. They are ideal for technicians and managers alike. The Stage Electrics training programme sets out to improve standards and increase safety for all those working within the industry.
Full details of the course can be found on the company’s website.
