W-DMX Products at PLASA Show, London
Wireless Solution Sweden AB, the producer of the award winning W-DMX products from PLASA 2004 will be exhibiting on stand G30 on the PLASA Show 2005 this year. Wireless Solution will also participate this year in the PLASA Innovation Awards with the new W-DMX IP65 Repeater.
W-DMX IP65 Repeater is a new and innovative product in the W-DMX family that takes the wireless technology for lighting one step further. The repeater solves a lot of problems for productions and installation companies, for example very long distances or "around corner" difficulties. Wireless DMX supports a distance up to 20 kilometres between each repeater. W-DMX IP65 Repeater makes problems such as huge buildings or big height differences disappear.
Wireless Solution will also shows the W-DMX IP65 Transceiver that supports RDM. All W-DMX products offer talk-back function, plug & play solution and a system is set up in less then 60 seconds. W-DMX follows the standard of ETSI and FCC to cover the European and North American markets.
Last year’s PLASA Innovation Award winner, W-DMX Black Box is now available in MK2 version with improved design. Soon the OEM TRX PCB generation IV, that follows the UL regulations for the North American Market will be available. Production is due to start later this year. The latest version of W-DMX TRX PCB supports wireless update of the software both for the W-DMX unit as well as for the fixture thru wireless DMX 512.
W-DMX is the first unit to offer a true plug&play solution for Wireless DMX 512 and supports up to 16 DMX 512 Universes. The system is robust against interference using Adaptive FHSS that changing frequency more than 1000 times every second. Added security with TDMA and every universe is protected with PIN codes.
During the period from May to September more than 800 W-DMX units were delivered. These have been involved in several prestige projects together with OEM clients and distributors around the world, for example London and Copenhagen Opera houses, television companies such as SVT (Sweden), Televisa (Mexico) and Yunnan Television (China).
