First Salon de la Musique et du Son
The first Salon de la Musique et du Son (Music and Sound Show) will take place at Paris Expo-Porte de Versailles (France) from 9th – 12th September 2006. This major four-day event will bring together all those who love music and want to communicate their passion to the greatest possible number of people.
Reed Expositions France and CSFI (Chambre Syndicale de la Facture Instrumentale) have joined together on this ambitious project to make this new trade and consumer show a real celebration of the music world, dynamic and festive.
The principle of Salon de la Musique et du Son is to generate interest in vocations and tempt novices into taking up an instrument. Music is a living art and the show will be a reflection of this: visitors will be able to discover, try out and assess the value of the many instruments on display and perhaps make a choice on the spot.
And music will govern the rhythm of the four-day show: stages will be set up both inside and outside the hall, hosting numerous concerts including classical, jazz, pop/rock, light music, electronic and world music. Every style will find its place and the public will be able to profit fully from this musical diversity.
Salon de la Musique et du Son will also address professionals: retailers, teachers and musicians – and a series of high-level conferences will be reserved for them to discuss the topical issues of the day.
