Hawthorn Make Academies Hot with Zero 88
Hawthorn Theatrical Ltd have successfully equipped two of the new City Academy Programme projects with a range of Zero 88 products and are about to undertake a third project.
The City Academy Scheme is a relatively new programme, which provides inner City areas with complete new purpose-built facilities, allowing students to expand and develop in a varied educational programme.
Each of the academies has a wide variety of resources with each having an approximate budget of £200,000 for AV equipment. To date Lambeth and Northampton Academies have been equipped with Chilli Dimmers and lighting consoles, and the next to be completed is Marlowe.
Simon Ling from Hawthorn Theatrical explains: “It’s great to be involved in these projects as they are relatively straightforward. We considered several products within the dimmer and console range, and decided on Zero 88 products because of their quality and efficiency especially within the environment they would be used.”
At Northampton Academy there are 96 Channels of Chilli dimming along with an illusion 500 console, whilst at the Lambeth site there are 48 Channels of chilli dimming and 8 Channels of Chilli HF along with a Fatfrog console.
