Lighthouse Technologies Earns ISO 14001 Environmental Certification
Lighthouse Technologies has announced that its joint venture production facility , with Desay Optoelectronic Technology Limited, has achieved ISO 14001 certification.
The ISO 14001 environmental certification is an international standard which confirms that Lighthouse’s LED video screens, manufactured at itsDesay’s 17,000 square metre factory, conform to all the specifications of the audit standard, and officially certifies that the productionLighthouse’s facility fully meets and complies with the very stringent requirements stipulated by the ISO 14001 products have achieved ISO quality standardranking.
To be accreditedensure certification, Desay and Lighthouse’s manufacturing facility introduced specific measures to meet responsibilities with regards to the protection of the environment.
Appreciating the growing pressure on manufacturers in the electronics and technology industries to be more environmentally-friendly, initiatives included the adoption of a comprehensive environmental protection policiesy, that complimented by a programme of eco-activities, focused on preserving energy and reducing waste.
Commenting on the achievement, Lighthouse Technologies managing director, Mr. Mark Chan stressed the importance for companies today to act responsibly with regards to global environmental protection, noting that the ISO 14001 certification would give Lighthouse a significant advantage over other LED video screen manufacturers products in the market today.
Mr Chan notes: “The ISO 14001 is an important milestone for our company. It validates that Lighthouse’s products are manufactured with the strictest adherence to the highest environmental standards and demonstrates our continued commitment to quality for our customers and partners.”
LighthouDesay’se’s modern factory, located in Huizhou in the People’s Republic of China, serves as the centre of the company’sLighthouse’s manufacturing operations, including product development, engineering, manufacturing, distribution and warehousing.
The ISO 14001 certification is the latest quality ranking the production facility Desay Optoelectronic Technology has gained. Previously, the company’s manufacturing plantproduction facility achieved ISO 9001 certification, which assessed annually, is in 200 a quality standard that the factory has continually sustained1. since 2001. Assessed annually, the ISO 9001 standard was re-awarded to the company earlier this year following a further audit.
