Martin MAC 700 is ‘Bjorn Again’
Björn Again were established in Melbourne, Australia in 1988 by Rod Leissle. They have gone to become one of the most popular acts world-wide and are currently in their 15th year, having performed over three-thousand live shows in over 60 countries world-wide. They have just finished a nine-week, 44-show UK tour which ran between October and December.
Tour manager/production manager/lighting designer Andrew Keightley, has been extremely pleased with the MAC 700 Profiles he specified for the tour. Entec Sound and Light supplied the lighting gear for the tour together with lighting technicians John Lahiffe and Leigh Yeomans. Fixtures included the MAC 700 Profiles plus MAC 600 Washlights controlled by an Avo Pearl console.
The lighting brief was based around concert lighting. The MAC 700's were placed on the front russ and used for gobo projection, colour washing and solo pick-ups. Keightley comments: “I chose the MAC 700s for their Animation Wheel, and I was extremely pleased with their reliability and ease of use.”
Keightley also commented on the accuracy and speed of response to the cue triggers the MAC 700 gave him. Overall, his view was that the MAC 700’s performance was “superb reliability and flexibility”.
