Lighthouse Screens Predominate at Paris Motor Show
LED video screens have become a de facto part of stand design for motor shows across the world and Lighthouse Technologies screens in particular have found favour with some of the industry’s leading car brands.
This year’s Paris Motor Show was no exception. Lighthouse Technologies best selling R6 6mm LED screen added impact to the stands of Porsche, Nissan, Fiat and General Motors amongst others.
One of the most eye-catching stands what that of Porsche, which brandished three R6 screens each in a 7 x 5 panel configuration. Two of the screens were used as portrait format backdrops, whilst the third was angled above the right hand upright screen and showed footage of the sky to create the illusion of the car, positioned directly in front, actually driving along a winding country lane.
“Car shows are always a spectacular affair,” comments Lighthouse managing director Mark Chan. “Each year the technology involved in the manufacture of vehicles becomes more sophisticated and the way in which companies market their products has become equally technologically advanced. LED screens are not only equal to the challenge in terms of technology; they also immediately draw the attention of visitors to the stand. This is extremely important, but the quality and reliability are also key criteria.
“We are seeing more and more manufacturers choosing to use Lighthouse screens. The feedback we are getting from car manufacturers is that screens are a critical part of the overall stand concept.
“Lighthouse has a range of products ideally suited to this very creative medium where designers combine low and high resolution screens to stunning effect.”
