Stagemaker SM2 Compact High Power Hoist from Verlinde
Verlinde has extended its range of Stagemaker electric chain hoists for the scenic arts, the theatre and concert events with a new and higly compact model capable of lifting 250kg with one fall of chain.
Compared to the SM5 models with a comparable hoisting capacity, the SM2 offers 40% saving in weight combined with 20% reduction in overall dimensions. This result has been achieved by using a more compact motor combined with a reduction gear and specially adapted hoisting chain.
In show and concert theatres or exhibition halls, the hoisting installations can thus be reduced by 40%, providing a choice between reducing the number of hooking points of the scenery hangings or stage props and hence the cost of the show and the greater creative freedom and availability of more equipment.
Thanks to the compact overall dimensions, the SM2 is also easy to place inside stage structures in aluminium. In addition, it takes up less space in the property truck during transport.
Stagemaker SM2 has a new chain guide as standard equipment, ensuring completely fluid payout of the chain from the hoisting box. It also features a single chain system for hooking the bin regardless of the direction in which the motor is running.
