“Light As Art” seminar presented by Projected Image Digital
Projected Image Digital present a special “Light As Art” seminar at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly in central London next Tuesday 5th December from 6.30 p.m.
There are over 120 pre-registrations already, with about 80 places still available.
The event is a collaboration between PID and leading interior designers Cadmium Design. It will consist of a two-part presentation aimed at raising awareness of the ever-growing convergence of video and lighting technologies in the entertainment world, and how this is filtering into architectural environments and applications.
The first part of the seminar is a tripartite presentation in BAFTA’s Princess Anne Theatre, kicked off by PID’s David March, who will give an overview of the current integration trends happening in the worlds of entertainment lighting and video.
This will be followed by a presentation by Cadmium Design’s Tina Fox about their design for The Grosvenor Casino in Bury New Road, Manchester.
Guests will then move to the David Lean Room where they can see a display of some of the available integrated technologies at the cusp of both entertainment and architectural markets. This will include a large piece of light art created by cadmium in the centre of the room, constructed from Element Labs’ products.
Featured equipment in the exhibition will include the very dynamic Pharos DMX architectural lighting controller, and High End Systems’ DL2 digital moving projector fixture.
Lightfactor is supplying a selection of SGM Palco LED luminaires which are ideal for all types of large wall-washing and other architectural illuminations. It’s planned to light the garden outside with Palcos to provide another ‘live’ interactive facet of the evening, and this will also highlight specific effects of the fixtures.
Those wanting to snap up the last few places should contact Caroline Zinba at Projected Image Digital on 020 8840 5885 mailto:caroline@pi-digital.co.uk.
