Harman UK Offers Bose Users a Cost Effective Upgrade Path to JBL Technology
Harman Pro UK has announced a part exchange programme to encourage venues, AV hire companies and musicians travelling with their own PA systems to upgrade their speakers to JBL VRX932s.
The offer is open to anyone who owns a Bose 802 cabinet and will allow them to recoup £200 towards the cost of a new JBL VRX932 cabinet for each speaker they exchange.
The compact size of JBL Professional's VRX932 makes it ideally suited to performers and venues requiring line array performance without the long-throw characteristics of larger systems. Based on the tour-sound-proven versatility and performance of JBL's VERTEC Series line array, the new VRX932 is a 12-inch, two-way line array loudspeaker designed for use in arrays of up to six units.
Each speaker has a 15-degree (nominal) vertical coverage angle. This means that
a single enclosure or arrays consisting of two or three speakers can provide practical vertical coverage.
Harman UK sales director Gary Dent says: "The outstanding performance of the JBL VRX932 makes it the natural successor to the speaker systems currently being used by smaller venues, theatres and AV hire companies. We recognise that many people would like to upgrade their existing speakers to superior and more up to date technology, yet are deterred by cost. This offer is designed to encourage them to make the transition by offering an easy and cost effective upgrade path."
The VRX932 is both small and perfectly formed, sharing components with the renowned VT4888 and VT4887 from JBL's VERTEC line. The speaker is not limited to use in suspended arrays. One or two VRX932's can also be used on a tripod or on pole over SRX718S subwoofers. This flexibility makes it a welcome addition for performers as well as A/V rental companies.
"There's no limit to the number of Bose 802 cabinets that customers can exchange," Dent adds. "The deal is very simple: swap your Bose 802 for a VRX 932 and we'll reduce the list price by £200."
