Inaugural Middle East Lighting Design Awards Announced
The inaugural Middle East Lighting Design Awards (MELDA), to be held on the 21st May 2007, will represent a unique opportunity for the region to recognise and celebrate the professional achievements and excellence of the world's leading lighting designers in enhancing the region's built environment through the power of light.
Outstanding architecture and design is taking place in this growing and emerging region which demands its own dedicated recognition. The MELDA Awards will offer an opportunity to further encourage and stimulate creativity in the field of lighting design, and recognise the huge importance that lighting plays in these cutting-edge, dynamic and ground-breaking projects.
MELDA is being held in association with mondo *arc, the international publication for architectural, retail, and corporate lighting design, and with the full support of world renowned lighting designer Jonathan Speirs of Speirs and Major Associates.
