Robe in the Rythm at the Paladium Club
Robe moving lights have been installed at the Paladium club in Hodonin, Czech Republic – in a 1400 capacity newly built venue.
Every Friday and Saturday nights, eight Robe Spot 250XTs help enhance the atmosphere and party vibes as everyone prepares for the weekend!
The club was opened after a massive reconstruction project. “We wanted to make it the biggest and best club in this area, says owner Zdeněk Kostiha, “As well as a destination for those seeking fun and good entertainment“
Knowing the key to a good club is often the efficiency and a accessibility of its bars, they created a large 64 metre bar area, with the idea being that no-one would have to wait for long to get their drinks.
The Paladium club’s lighting and sound system was specified by Robe’s Czech Republic distributor KVS.
The Spot 250 XTs are the work horses of the lighting system. They are controlled with a Robe DMX Control 480 – chosen for user-friendly operation – with the lighting installation picture completed by a Robe Faze 1000FT for fog effects.
“We are really satisfied with the Robes. They do exactly what it “says on the tin“ and they have been 100 per cent reliable since the club opened says Marek Najgebaur AKA DJ Najgec, who’s also the Palasdium’s resident light-jockey.
He say that it’s challenging to play music and run lights simultaneously, so they maximise the control 480‘s pre-programmed functions.
There‘s four basic lighitng sequences. The first is for up-tempo music, mostly using strobey effects. The second ia a gobo and colour flipping one, the third is for slow dances and the last one is multi-purpose. “It is a huge help to use these when you need to concentrate on playing music“ he says.
To keep his clientele engaged and constantly turning over, Kostiha keeps the Saturday night themes rotating and changing – including foam parties, Mexican parties, go-go dancers, etc., resulting in capacity audiences most nights.
He has also just opened another discoteque in nearby Varadero, where another eight Robe Scan 250 XTs are installed on the back of their success at the Paladium.
