HFM Lighting & Sound Expands Operations and Tunes Into d&b

Live Event Lighting & Sound specialists, Surrey-based HFM Lighting & Sound Ltd, has announced an expansion of its audio rental inventory by investing in d&b audiotechnik’s systems.
Launched eight years ago, HFM is headed by Hugh Frazer-Mann, who combines 20 years’ industry experience to deliver an unparalleled service, which combines advanced technical solutions with practical advice, back-up and a ‘can-do’ approach.
HFM’s expansion of its audio represents a natural progression to offer a higher specification technical production service and satisfies the increasing demands of its clients, who require the company to work as a ‘one-stop’ technical production house.
Hugh Frazer-Mann explains: “We pride ourselves on offering the personal touch and being proactively involved with all projects from start to finish. More and more of our end-clients are asking primarily for sound with lighting added on.
The initial investment comprises a host of d&b Q1’s, Q subs and max wedges, plus E3’s and E3 subs in addition to a selection of Epac and D12 amplifiers. This powerful combination allows maximum flexibility across a variety of challenging application demands.
HFM purchased their equipment through d&b London based distributor Orbital Sound.
HFM’s sound partner Peter McClean commented: “The beauty of d&b is that it offers sonic clarity and a superior depth of sound in a very compact box. Plus the Epac amplifiers holds the personalities of the full range of d&b speakers; so systems designs can be pre-configured in the warehouse.”
The systems have been successfully deployed by HFM on a number of live events including the recent Olay launch, LG’s Chocolate phone events, and Schwarzkopf Hair Fashion Shows.
Boasting a warehouse facility at its Surrey based HQ in excess of 15,000 sq ft, HFM has expanded and recently taken on a new space in Brick Lane to provide a convenient, central location to service its central London and City based events.
