Hugo Boss Choose Tannoy’s Arena

Known for its clean cuts, superior quality and sophistication, fashion giants Hugo Boss have called for Tannoy’s Arena range to complement their new concept store in Denmark. The purpose built venue in Copenhagen was completed in 2001 with a 100v system installed, but management at the state-of-the-art premises had never been impressed with audio quality since its opening. The requirement was for a system that would harmonize with the Brand’s visual message and deliver a sound of exceptional quality.

The store is primarily a training centre where a model store is created each time a new trend sweeps through the fashion world. Store managers from all over Denmark, Norway and Iceland gather here to learn what’s new, what’s coming and are presented with the new ranges, merchandising guidelines and new store layouts. Employees come to be inspired and motivated by their mentors and the Hugo Boss environment, which is always immaculately presented. This leaves them with a feeling that working for Hugo Boss, they really are part of something very special. Store managers are then charged with rolling out the seasons new concepts in their own stores around the country.

According to audio installer Kim Rasmussen of Kinovox, Copenhagen, “the Tannoy Arenas were the obvious solution for this for this prestigious project.” He further explained: “The Hugo Boss brand name shouts success, perfection and international style, and the management wanted every element within the concept store to reflect that. The Arena’s fit in so well. They are beautifully designed with great panache and combine stunning audio quality.”

The facility has 42 of the multi award-winning speakers installed throughout the six divisions in the building. Originators of the point source technology over six decades ago, Tannoy have been continually refining the technology and have incorporated a miniature 4” version of the company’s legendary Dual Concentric drive unit in to the Arenas. The speakers are aesthetically striking, yet elegant, and tonally they are excellent with a warm rich and expansive sound that suits the venue perfectly.

Driven by a Sonos ZP100 system which sits perfectly with the Arena system in both commercial and residential applications, this wireless digital music player has a built-in 50W amplifier to power, distribute and play the music throughout the venue.
