Jands Vista Distributor Appointed for Republic of Ireland

A.C. Lighting has appointed LX2000 Stage Lighting Hire as its exclusive Jands distributor in the Republic of Ireland, with particular focus on the Vista lighting console range. Under the arrangement, LX2000 will handle all Jands enquiries in the territory, including providing product expertise, demonstration, training, installation and backup for the entire range. LX2000 are one of Ireland’s leading event production companies, providing a full sales, hire, installation and lighting design service for clients in the theatre, entertainment and events sectors.

LX2000 is the first company in the Republic of Ireland to purchase a Vista console. MD Seamus Reck originally just wanted the desk for his production team to use on client events and provide for dry hire, but was so impressed with its forward-thinking design that he decided he wanted to become a dealer for the range as well.

Seamus debuted his T2 console on the prestigious 2005 Wexford Festival Opera season at the Theatre Royal last October and has used it ever since for a wide variety of shows and events.

He commented: “The Vista is not like any other desk. Most people are already familiar with a computer’s visually based user interface, which is very similar to the Vista, and they do not have to spend hours with codes, so they look at it differently and find it easy to pick up in a very short space of time. Our Vista has received a lot of interest and impressed a lot of people, so we’re looking forward to helping establish the console in Ireland.”

The Vista range of hardware and software solutions includes the new compact S3 control surface, full size T4 and T2 desks and the Vista App software-only version, which also doubles as an offline editor.
