Custom Projection Screens and ECT
ECT, the manufacturers of bespoke projection screens for the staging and events market were recently contracted to build a wall-mounted projection screen with a clear viewing area of 5.7m x 1.95m. The specification was for a matt brite screen material with 2” border and poppers, and the lecture theatre at Bradford University is now able to offer state-of-the-art animated images.
“Our expertise in providing individual technical advice has tended to be utilised by dealers installing at shows and events. Educational institutions have opted to purchase from our ranges of remote retractable screens. More recent enquiries have shown increased awareness of customised projection screens,” said Adam Flawn-Thomas, MD of ECT. Other ECT projects have included an 88ft National TV awards tapered screen, 12m wide by 3.75m perm screen at the EICC in Scotland, and the biggest screen to date at the Royal Albert Hall for Fashion Rocks. Each project requires specialist projection screen knowledge to achieve the correct curve, or shape desired and careful planning, to make every application a spectacular first .
