Phenomenal Opening Day at ISE 2006 Reflects Strength of AV Systems Integration Market

ISE 2006 opened to record attendance today as systems integrators, professionals, installers and managers convened to hear from industry leaders and key influencers about the latest technologies in AV systems integration.

The show started in spectacular style with a powerful demonstration of massive LED video screens, which took over the impressive frontage of the huge Brussels Expo Centre and acted as the beacon to the show attracting strong interest.

At the press briefing on Wednesday, show managing director, Mike Blackman outlined some of the exciting new developments and product launches at a show which is officially twice the size of the previous event. With over 9,700 pre-registration visitors traveling to see 330 exhibitors and a free conference, the anticipation was high for a successful and vibrant show.

“The excitement generated from our exhibitors, sponsors and associations, the new show features and comprehensive conference all combine to produce this highly successful show where quality visitors are prepared to take time out to come to Brussels to do business,” says Mike Blackman, show managing director. He added: “This year’s significant increase in attendance is a testament to ISE as a real deal-making show and explains its continuing growth year after year.

"Building on the phenomenal success of the last two years, I am delighted to report that the third edition of ISE show is a total sell-out, with 23,270 gross m2 space representing a 100% increase in booked floor space and over 330 leading companies from all around the world participating. Based on pre-registrations of over 9700, we not only will exceed last year’s attendance, but indeed expect all records to be shattered."

The success of the show was largely down to a clever mix of high profile advertising with 202 advertisements in 72 publications and key target marketing through the distribution of 600,000 flyers. Positive responses from emerging markets such as Russia and the Middle East, make ISE a fully fledged international event show.

Blackman saw some major technology trends in Europe which would have a radical influence on the way the industry is heading ‘’I see continuing and increasing integration of AV systems into the customer’s IT networks together with the increased use of conferencing and collaboration and exponential growth in the use of digital signage.’’    Launched in 2004, ISE was received with open arms by an industry anxious to showcase its products and solutions to a rapidly growing market, and in a very short space of time firmly established itself as a must attend event on the industry trade show calendar.

The 2006 Integrated Systems Europe show, produced in association with CEDIA®, NSCA® and InfoComm International® is held from February 1 – 3 in Brussels, Belgium. Held once a year, ISE is Europe’s largest trade show for the AV Systems Integration industry, attracting attendees from around the world.
