Warwick Corporate Events Expands into South Wales and Kicks Off with Cardiff Audi Launch
Warwick Corporate Events is starting what looks to be a record-breaking year by expanding into Wales. The Exeter-based events production company has just brokered a deal to take over a high profile events company in Cardiff.
Two impressive events are now on Warwick’s books in Cardiff this month – the launch of Audi’s newest office on 22nd February, and the launch of a new apartment building the following day. Both events will feature Warwick’s trademark combination of attention-grabbing lights, sound, structure and effects.
January 2006 was Warwick’s biggest month ever, leaving the company with a projected turnover of £2 million for 2006. Forward order books are, however, producing projections in excess of this figure.
Warwick Corporate Events managing director David Warwick said: “I am delighted that this deal has gone through and we can expand into Cardiff and South Wales, which is an extremely lively and promising area for conferences and events.
“It looks like 2006 will be yet another record-breaking year for us, as we continue with our plans for expansion. We created the Partner Venues venue-finding service last year and that is going from strength to strength. Later this year I will be looking for an industrial unit in Cardiff to relocate our equipment storage more centrally, and launching Warwick Stage and Event Hire.com as our online equipment hire arm which will go online next year.
“Our most enjoyable project conducted over January 2006 was a themed party for 220 top flight managers from a European Finance Company. The whole room became a 1950’s diner with bubble gum machines, Cadillac sofas with working brake lights and Chevrolet bars using the whole front grill and head lights. We had neon signs and of course the famous duo Danny and Sandy on huge banners. The highlight of the event was the 16ft x 6ft screen showing extracts of the film behind the band and DJ. Everyone danced until 1am, which is the sign of a truly great party.”
Warwick Corporate Events, which has bases in Honiton and Exeter, started 20 years ago and claims to be amongst the top businesses in the UK capable of locating a venue, fitting it out and scripting and choreographing the entire event.
