Arena Structures Awarded by Performance Textiles Association
Arena Structures won the ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘Project of the Year’ awards at the 2006 Performance Textiles Association annual awards dinner.
The Project of the Year Award, collected by managing director Grahame Muir, was the first of seven coveted accolades to be presented on the night. It was given for Arena Structures’ ground breaking Wembley Arena Pavilion, a semi-permanent 10,000 capacity concert venue, which was acknowledged for being a significant advancement of temporary structure technology and its application.
Arena Structures subsequently collected the prestigious ‘Business of the Year Award’ in recognition of the company’s growth, innovation, ongoing investment and development of products driven forwards by a client focused approach.
Grahame Muir commented: “We are both proud and delighted to have been acknowledged with these two awards by our peers. These awards belong to the whole Arena Structures team and the wider Arena Group for the support and resources required for us to aim high and consistently deliver.
“Innovation is a key part of the vitality of the company and it was thanks to our client Wembley London Ltd for having the foresight to consider a temporary structure in their desire to "keep music live" at Wembley during major refurbishment works that brought this project to life.”
“The Wembley Arena Pavilion was a testament as to how far temporary structure technology has moved on, highlighting that, as an industry, we must embrace the opportunities this new technology and client confidence brings. It is worth noting that this Wembley project was handed over on time!”
