SIEL All-Time High
The organisers report that attendance at SIEL 2006 hit an all-time high, with 29,825 trade visitors exploring the aisles, an increase of 5.5% over 2005. Considering that last year was already a new record, these figures confirm that SIEL is a major event, one that manages each year to innovate and always offer its visitors more. It is a “must see” that attracts visitors from all over France and countries worldwide (5% of the visitors travelled from abroad to attend the show).
This year, SIEL Live Entertainment expanded its content offer, notably by holding Workshops. These made it possible for a number of exhibitors to present their new products using a different approach or by giving demonstrations. The conference topics, which included Sound Technologies, Image Technologies, Yesterday and Today, Lighting and Dramaturgy: the expressiveness of lighting, From Live Entertainment to the Development of the Environment and Stage Design and Machinery, achieved great success among the attendees.
The next SIEL will take place at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles from 4–7 February 2007, which will be its 25th event.
