Showsec Secure New Wembley Arena

Showsec was selected to supply the team securing the backstage of Wembley Arena when it re-opened after a £35 million refurbishment.
The iconic Wembley Arena re-opened its doors to the public this month 2006 with two sold out shows by Depeche Mode. Showsec were entrusted to manage the backstage area that included securing the production entrance, stage door, dressing rooms, backstage catering, hospitality and front of stage pit barrier.
Showsec’s operation executive Paul Trippier managed a team of 36 staff on each of the two successful shows. To ensure that success, they attended in-house training to familiarise themselves with the new venue, learn the new emergency procedures and policies on customer services.
In line with the new SIA regulations that came into force on 20th March, 28 of the 36 Showsec team were SIA licensed staff and all had been trained to fulfil their roles proficiently.
Paul said: “We’re thrilled to be working at the new Wembley Arena, enjoying great relations with their management team at this very prestigious venue, bringing new standards of service and a joint approach to developments.”
