ShowLED for Eurovision

The massive 15m x 105m ShowLED starcloth used for the recent Eurovision Song Contest in Athens was supplied by Amelia NV of Belgium.
The starcloth involved covered the complete stage and was made up from 45 cloths measuring 3 x 12 metres, creating a total of 1600 m˛. In all, it contained at least 10,000 LEDs connected by 12.5 kilometres of electrical wiring. It was one of the biggest-ever projects for Amelia - although certainly not the first. For example, they supplied 1.400 m˛ for the Dutch performer Marco Borsato at the Gelredome Soccer Stadion in Arnhem in the Netherlands) and 700m˛ for the recent Night of the Proms concerts in Belgium and the Netherlands, and 1.000m˛ of starcloths for several TV shows at Dubai Television.
Kenny Janssens of Amelia says the success of ShowLED is due to their excellent service, fast turnaround time and an increasing international distributor network. Recently added to the network are Gerriets (Germany and Austria), Azur Scénic (France) and Peroni (Italy). In the UK, the distributor is S+H Technical Support Ltd.
Through these major projects ShowLED continues to present itself as a market leader on the international LED starcloth market. Their current stock would cover more then a football field!
