White Light Graduates Open Day for 2006

Open to anyone contemplating a design or technical career in the entertainment lighting industry, including but by no means limited to students at drama schools and universities, the Open Day will give guests ‘hands-on’ access to some of the latest lighting products from manufacturers such as MA Lighting, Martin and Selecon, as well as a chance to tour the comprehensive facilities available at White Light. Visitors will also be able to meet and listen to careers advice and other thoughts from a number of leading figures from theatres, rental companies, manufacturers and drama schools.

The day will end with a key-note session discussing ‘a life in theatre’, this year featuring lighting designer Paul Pyant, recently returned from lighting the epic new stage production of The Lord of the Rings in Canada.

The 2006 White Light Graduates Open Day will run from 11am to 5pm on Wednesday 7th June at White Light in Wimbledon. White Light is easily accessible by road, by train, by tube, by bus and even by tram - full details of how to get there can be found at http://www.WhiteLight.Ltd.uk/where.

Those wishing to attend are asked to contact Simon Barrett, White Light’s Training and Development Co-Ordinator, at White Light on 020 8254 4800 or by email to Simon.Barrett@WhiteLight.Ltd.uk - if only to ensure that enough snacks and drinks are available on the day!

12th May 2006
