Filmgear Lights Up Europe
Filmgear has announced the opening of Filmgear (Europe) Ltd in London. Nick Shapley will head up the operation and will focus on the service, sales and marketing of Filmgear products across the European markets.
"Nick has done a great job introducing the Filmgear product into the European market over the last three years. The time is now right for us to take the next step forward which is to set up a new business focusing on this impressive and emerging range of lighting equipment," says Simon Yeung, chairman of Filmgear. “I believe the opening of Filmgear Europe will ensure a quick turn around of product, stock and spares locally throughout Europe.
“Having an office in Europe is the next step in the development of the company and we believe that with Nick’s expertise and knowledge of the industry, we can reinforce the brand in Europe. He is a well known and respected figure and we are confident that together we can achieve our goals.”
Filmgear (Europe) Ltd is located at Greenford, near to the largest UK rental houses, film and TV studios with excellent connections to major roads and airports.
Nick Shapley states: “The new venture is an exciting future for the FILMGEAR product range and we will now be able to fulfil requests at a moments notice whether for new lights, parts or servicing.”
The Filmgear range of products includes: HMI Pars, HMI Daylights, HMI Flicker free ballasts, HMI conventional ballasts, Tungsten Fresnels, Tungsten spacelights and fluorescents.
