Strongbow go HD at HiFi
HD technology made its festival debut in The Strongbow Ciderhouse at HiFi-North, held in Matfen, near Newcastle recently.
This was HD technology at its best, in a corporate festival environment, creating a state of the art AV system, designed and installed by 2Ci. The content included digitalised and manipulated Strongbow branding, creating fabulous graphics for the screens. The Strongbow Ciderhouse line up at Hi-Fi included Krafty Kuts, Super Discount, Digitalism, Barry Ashworth and Naughty, playing throughout the day and night.
The system included four 51” HD ready plasmas from PSCo, set into two walls of LED light cubes to create a club atmosphere. The environment certainly had the desired effect, drawing hundreds of clubbers throughout the festival
Habs Akram of 2Ci explained: “We wanted to go HD for the Ciderhouse this year as they always like to be at the forefront of new technologies. The difference it makes to the picture quality is like going from black and white to colour, and it meant the graphics looked great once the sun went down.”
