Snakes & Ladders is a Winner at ABTT

Specialist rigging supply company, Rope Assemblies, won the best stand award at the ABTT Exhibition in the Royal Horticultural Halls last week for its innovative, giant game called ‘LOLER revisited using Snakes &

Ladders’.

The Retford-based company had a giant two metre square snakes & ladders board on the back wall of their stand. Visitors were invited to test their knowledge of the LOLER regulations as they progressed up the

board. Completion of the game with all questions correctly answered won the player one of a number of prizes from new rigging gloves to head torches, Frogs to Rope Assemblies unique rigging multi-tool. Having counted the number of prizes given out at the end of the show, a knowledgeable 200 people had played and won.

“We were delighted to win this award; it was quite a surprise when our name was called out at the ABTT Dinner. Many thanks to the judges and all of the visitors – and other exhibitors – who came on the stand to play and learn more about LOLER,” Said Siobhan Hitchen, managing director.

“We wanted our stand to have an educational theme which was fun and engaging rather than the typical sales message. Our products were on display should anyone want more information, but it was more important to engage with the visitors and snakes & ladders worked for us,” she added.

The Frog, 2005 winner of the Widget of the Year, was on display and interest in the innovative device was as keen as ever. Sales have increased steadily over the past twelve months since its launch and seem set to continue to increase. At only £15 per unit the are excellent value when compared with typical screw gate carabiners and are easier to operate single handedly.

Rope Assemblies will have a stand at the Exhibiting Show and this will have another entertaining theme. Who said trade shows weren’t fun any more?
