TiLE Success
The organisers of the 15th edition of TiLE held at the MECC in Maastricht in The Netherlands from 20-22 June report that event was well received by exhibitors, delegates, coupled with a warm response yet again from the Dutch hosts.
Paul Grinnall, TiLE’s sales and marketing director said: “TiLE was and is the perfect shop window to see new ideas and innovations, and have them viewed by an audience of highly qualified professions, who were able to meet in one place, and be afforded the opportunity to swap experiences, increase business, educate, inform and socialise - everything TiLE is in existence to achieve!”
Alexander Gourevitch, TiLE’s conference committee chairman said: “I think the exhibition space was fabulous, given the resources and content available. I thought all the exhibitors were so interesting and the lay-out was very intelligent.”
Gourevitch added: “Not until I saw all the people from the show floor walk in for the awards did I realise just how different the worlds of the conference and the trade show were. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure and an honour for me to work with them all.”
With a series of annual ‘Awards for Excellence’ there were a number of recipients this year and they were: Innovation in Products and Services: 7th Sense, Interactive Mindball IP AB and R2R Animatronics; Exhibition Stand: Simworx, Alcorn McBride and 7th Sense;
Conference Presentation: Juliana Koranteng, Dr Terry Stevens and Fernando Andreu.
Another of the benefits of TiLE 2006 is the ‘Young Designer Award’ scheme, which this year was won by Michael Salvati of Lincoln University for his design concept of ‘An aquatic and sustainable development at an exhibit in Zaragoza 2008’.
The audience to this year’s show and conference yet again proved why TiLE is the industry ‘think tank’ and provided the sharpest intellects with a wealth of new ideas, technologies, fierce debate and tasking issues.
TiLE never provides an audience of thousands, but those who attend are decision makers and senior buyers. Grinnall added: “These attendances are very encouraging, when you consider the amount of exhibition fatigue there is these days, but we at Andrich are thrilled with the positive responses we’ve had from the industry and the loyalty we enjoy from our clients, that above all has been the most rewarding.”
“TiLE is about getting involved with the business - dialogue, debate and friendly surroundings. A tremendous event for us, with conference content that was at its best,” said Kevin Murphy, director of Electrosonic.
"The TiLE show was a tremendous success for us. The exhibition provided a perfect platform for pre show prospective clients to meet us there in order to experience our products. The show also generated a significant amount of new enquires," reported Terry Monkton, managing director of Simworx.
